NDR 1
Under NDR 1 means the country programs since 1981 NDR -Hörfunks. Three of the four state programs also have this name in their name:
- NDR 1 Lower Saxony - State program for Lower Saxony from the State Broadcasting House Hanover
- NDR 1 Welle Nord - State program for Schleswig-Holstein from the Landesfunkhaus Kiel
- NDR 1 Radio MV - State program for Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania from the Landesfunkhaus Schwerin
There is also a state program for Hamburg with NDR 90.3 .
history
Until 1981, NDR 1 broadcast a joint program with WDR 1 , which only temporarily split up into regional programs.
As part of a reorganization of the NDR radio programs, NDR 1 Radio Niedersachsen , NDR 1 Welle Nord and NDR Hamburg-Welle 90.3 were finally created on January 2, 1981 . The three channels were initially just window programs in a joint NDR-1 program, from April 1989 all waves created their daily programs completely themselves.
On January 1, 1992, NDR 1 Radio MV started the fourth national program.
program
The four state programs are primarily aimed at the 35+ target group. The music consists mainly of oldies and soft pop, although there are also audible differences in the fine positioning of the individual national programs. For example, NDR 1 Niedersachsen still plays 15% hits, while NDR 1 Welle Nord and NDR 1 Radio MV play current chart hits and rock.
During the night, all four programs broadcast the ARD Hitnacht from 10:10 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (on weekends until 6:00 a.m.) , which has replaced NDR 1 Nacht since January 16, 2018 . The ARD Hitnacht is as before the NDR 1 night produced alternately from one of the four transmitters. The ARD Hitnacht is also broadcast by SWR 4 , hr4 , SR 3 Saarlandwelle , Antenne Brandenburg and WDR 4 . From Monday to Friday, all four programs will also broadcast today's reports from 11:30 p.m. to midnight .
The state programs are among the most successful programs of North German Broadcasting. NDR 1 Radio MV, NDR 1 Welle Nord and NDR 1 Lower Saxony are market leaders in their broadcasting area. According to Media Analysis 2006 II, NDR 1 Lower Saxony was even the most widely listened public radio program in Germany.
