NGC 1755 is the name for an open star cluster near the Large Magellanic Cloud in the constellation Dorado . NGC 1755 is 2.6 'in diameter and has an apparent magnitude of 9.9 mag. The star cluster was discovered on October 3, 1826 by James Dunlop with a 9-inch telescope and was later listed in the New General Catalog .
