NGC 1763 is an emission nebula with an embedded star cluster in the constellation Swordfish in the Large Magellanic Cloud . The object was discovered on November 6, 1826 by the astronomer James Dunlop with a 23 cm telescope. The nebula itself is also cataloged under LHA 120-N 11B or ESO 85-EN20 and is part of the nebula complex N11.
