NGC 1748 is an emission nebula in the constellation Swordfish in the Large Magellanic Cloud . NGC 1748 was discovered by James Dunlop in 1826 and is listed in the New General Catalog . In 1901 the object was observed by Williamina Fleming and cataloged as IC 2114 .
