NGC 1752 is a bar-spiral galaxy of the Hubble type SBc in the constellation Eridanus in the southern sky . It is estimated to be 155 million light years from the Milky Way and about 120,000 light years across. The galaxy is considered a member of the NGC 1752 group ( LGG 126 ). In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 1720 and NGC 1726 .
The object was discovered on December 30, 1861 by Heinrich Louis d'Arrest .
