NGC 1841 is a globular cluster in the constellation Mensa . NGC 1841 has an apparent visual magnitude of 14.1 mag. NGC 1841 is located about 15 ° from the Magellanic Clouds in the sky , but has a similar distance to Earth as the Large Magellanic Cloud and is possibly associated with it. The object was discovered by John Herschel on January 19, 1836 .
