NGC 6645 is an open cluster of Trumpler type III1m in the constellation Sagittarius in the northern sky . It has an apparent magnitude of 8.5 mag and an angular diameter of 15 '. The cluster is around 4,000 light years from the solar system.
The object was discovered on June 27, 1786 by William Herschel .
