NGC 6670 is an interacting pair of galaxies in the constellation Dragon in the northern sky , an estimated 396 million light years from the Milky Way . The two centers of the galaxies are about 50,000 light years apart.
The object was discovered on July 31, 1886 by the American astronomer Lewis A. Swift .
