NGC 6633 is an open cluster of Trumpler type III2m in the constellation Ophiuchus on the ecliptic. It has a brightness of 4.6 mag and an angular diameter of 20 arc minutes . The cluster is about 1,000 light years away from the solar system and is about 8 light years in diameter . It contains almost 30 stars , its age is estimated at 600 - 700 million years.
The object was discovered in 1745 by Jean-Philippe de Chéseaux .
