NGC 6574 = NGC 6610 is a 12.0 mag bright bar-spiral galaxy with an active galaxy core of the Hubble type SBbc in the constellation Hercules in the northern sky . It is estimated to be 109 million light years from the Milky Way and about 45,000 light years in diameter. It is considered the brightest member of the four galaxies NGC 6574 group ( LGG 419 ).

The Type Ic supernova SN 2008eb was observed here.

The object was discovered by Albert Marth on July 9, 1863 . Due to confusing information in the notes, the observation of Édouard Stephan on July 13, 1876 under NGC 6610 led to a second entry in the catalog.
