NGC 6562 is a 13.9 mag bright compact galaxy of the Hubble type C in the constellation Dragon in the northern sky . It is an estimated 304 million light years from the Milky Way and about 60,000 light years in diameter.
The object was discovered on June 8, 1885 by Lewis A. Swift .
