NGC 6571 is a 14.4 mag bright compact elliptical galaxy of the Hubble type E / S0 in the constellation Hercules in the northern sky . It is estimated to be 220 million light years from the Milky Way and about 25,000 light years in diameter.

In the same area of ​​the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 6576 , NGC 6577 , NGC 6579 , NGC 6580 .

The object was discovered by Albert Marth on July 27, 1864 .
