NGC 6582 is an optical double galaxy consisting of the galaxies PGC 61510 and PGC 61513 . Both are elliptical , of the Hubble type E-S0 and can be found in the constellation Hercules .
Both were discovered as one object on July 24, 1884 by the American astronomer Lewis A. Swift .
