NGC 6607 is a spiral galaxy of Hubble type Sb in the constellation Draco the northern sky , an estimated 312 million light-years from the Milky Way 's center. In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 6597 , NGC 6601 , NGC 6608 , NGC 6609 .
The object was discovered by Lewis Swift on August 4, 1883 .
