NGC 6585 is a 12.9 likes bright spiral galaxy of Hubble type "SBC" in the constellation Hercules at the northern sky . It is estimated to be 136 million light years from the Milky Way and about 75,000 light years in diameter.
The object was discovered by Edward D. Swift on May 25, 1887 .
