NGC 6615 is a lenticular galaxy of the Hubble type SB0 / a in the constellation Serpent Bearer on the celestial equator . It is estimated to be 127 million light years from the Milky Way and approximately 45,000 ly in diameter.
The object was discovered by Albert Marth on July 9, 1863 .
