NPO Soul & Jazz is a Dutch public radio station of the NPO , which consists mainly of music tracks.

history

The station went on air on September 4, 2006. On August 19, 2014, the station got the addition NPO in its name. In March 2015 it was announced that NPO Radio 6 will be discontinued on January 1st, 2016. Until December 31, 2015, it was the sixth nationwide radio program of the NPO. The station's music format has been continued under the name NPO Soul & Jazz since January 1, 2016 and consists largely of non-stop music. There are only a few moderated programs in the evenings that were also broadcast on NPO Radio 6 (e.g. "Winfrieds Woonkamer").

Even as NPO Soul & Jazz, the program continues to consist of soul and jazz . In addition, cultural and information programs were also broadcast. It had a market share of 0.3 percent.

The successor program NPO Soul & Jazz is broadcast in the Netherlands on the same channels as NPO Radio 6 via DAB and cable . A live stream is also available over the Internet.
