The Nachtweidgraben , on the upper reaches also (Oberer) Talgraben , in the northern Front Palatinate ( Rhineland-Palatinate ) is a 3.9 km long stream and a left tributary of the Schrakelbach . It flows with its entire length in the Rhein-Pfalz-Kreis .

course

The Nachtweidgraben has no actual source , but runs as a ditch with an almost imperceptible gradient from south-south-west to north-north-east, i.e. almost perpendicular to the natural direction of the rivers in the Upper Palatinate. It collects the water from agricultural irrigation ditches that flow to it from the left and feeds it to the Rhine via Schrakelbach and Eckbach .

The origin of the Nachtweidgraben lies at about 97  m above sea level. NHN height 500 m west of the Lambsheimer Weiher on the northeast edge of the residential development of Lambsheim . The stream flows west of Autobahn 61 ( Koblenz - Speyer ) through the fields. It first crosses under Landesstrasse  522 ( Frankenthal –Lambsheim) - until there, 1.7 km far, it is called the (Upper) Talgraben - and later at the eastern edge of Heßheim through Landesstrasse 453. Directly north of this it opens at about 96  m height of left into the Schrakelbach.
