The 2005/06 season is the 57th regular time of the Swiss National League A in handball .
For testing purposes, the Swiss national team took part in league operations under the name "Schweiz Espoirs". They played out of competition.
mode
The 8 teams play a 3.5 professional round (+1 game against "Schweiz Espoirs") of 25 games each.
The best four teams in the main round will determine the Swiss champions in play-off style. The semi-finals and the final are played according to the best-of-five mode . The losers play in a placement round for ranks 3 and 4.
The other four teams from the main round play a playout. The winners of the first playout round play for positions 5 and 6. The losers of the first playout round play a promotion / relegation round with the first two of the NLB.
