The 12 teams play 2 double rounds of 22 games each.
Then a final round is played with the best 6 teams from the main round. The best four teams will determine the Swiss in play-off style. The semi-finals are played according to the best-of-five mode . The final is played according to the best-of- three mode .
The other 6 teams from the main round determine the two direct relegated teams in a relegation round since the league was reduced to 10 teams in the 2012/13 season. The teams in positions three and four of the relegation round play two barrage games against the third and fourth of the National League B.
