Nekoosa is located in central Wisconsin, on the west bank of the Wisconsin River which flows into the Mississippi . The geographical coordinates of Nekoosa are 44 ° 18'45 "north latitude and 89 ° 54'15" west longitude. The urban area extends over an area of 8.78 km². It is surrounded to the north, west and south by the Town of Port Edwards and borders - separated by the Wisconsin River - to the east by the Town of Saratoga .
