action

After his capture, the robber Hotzenplotz, who is locked up in the fire brigade's syringe house, with a faked illness (appendicitis), can persuade Dimpfelmoser, who has meanwhile been promoted to sergeant-major, to unlock the syringe house and escape. A ruse to lure the robber back into the syringe house with the help of a fake treasure map fails. Instead, Kasperl, Seppel and Dimpfelmoser are locked up in the syringe house. They can break free, but in the meantime Hotzenplotz (who pretends to be Dimpfelmoser) kidnapped the grandmother to extort ransom . Kasperl and Seppel persuade Oberwachtmeister Dimpfelmoser to agree to a ransom delivery and to monitor everything with the help of a crystal ball belonging to the fortune teller widow Schlotterbeck , who also has a long-haired dachshund named Wasti who has been transformed into a crocodile .

When the money is handed over, however, Kasperl and Seppel are caught by the robber and dragged into his cave. There they meet the grandmother who has to cook and clean for the robber. When the robber had a mushroom soup prepared shortly afterwards , the three persuaded him that the red caps used for this must also have been mushrooms that inevitably tear you apart from the inside. The only antidote is to wrap a thick rope around your stomach. Then Hotzenplotz lets himself be captivated by the three. Now Dimpfelmoser, who has borrowed Ms. Schlotterbeck's "crocodile dog", joins them. As a result, the robber is so intimidated that he willingly allows Dimpflemoser to lead him away. Again he ends up under lock and key. This time, however, he is taken to the nearest town's district prison, which is considered escape-proof.
