Life / career
Colsaerts survived all three stages of the Tour School 2000 without any problems and qualified fourth in the final tournament for the European Tour . After Colsaerts lost his eligibility to play the European Tour at the end of the 2006 season, he played on the Challenge Tour again from 2007 to 2009 before qualifying for the European Tour again from 2010. In April 2011 Colsaerts achieved the first victory at the highest tournament level by winning the China Open .
The most valuable win to date came in May 2012 when he won the Volvo World Match Play Championship . As a result, he temporarily moved into the top 50 of the golf world rankings .
In September 2014 Colsaerts played the longest drive in European Tour history in the first round of the ISPS Handa Wales Open . His tee shot on the 18th hole of the Celtic Manor Resort only came to a halt after 408 meters.
