from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Nicolas Rutschmann (born December 24, 1962 in Stuttgart ) is a German author, film director and graduate designer.

Life

Rutschmann studied graphic design at the State Academy of Fine Arts in Stuttgart . After completing his intermediate diploma, he switched to Albrecht Ade's animation film class . During this time he produced short films that were shown at international festivals and on TV. From 1992 to 1994 he worked in Hamburg as a director, editor and designer in commercials, for post-production companies and TV broadcasters. In 1996 he founded a production company for new media and film in Stuttgart, which carries out film and multimedia commissioned productions.

In spring 2011 he published his debut novel "Magic Hotel - Soldiers of Fortune on the Way to Hollywood", in summer 2012 the novel "7/7", which dealt with the terrorist attacks on July 7, 2005 in London in free form. In 2016 his non-fiction book “Top 1500 Movies - The best feature films of all time” was published. In 2017 his novel “The Borgward - A Story Between Two Wars” was published, an emigrant story based on true events, which ranges from the Roaring Twenties in New York to a bizarre court case in post-war Germany. In 2018, "White Blood - A Psychological Thriller" will be released. The novel creates an unconventional reference to the refugee crisis that has dominated Europe since 2015. In a critical way, he continues to weave the desire of many nationalists to seal off their country from unwanted migrants.
