Nicole Boegman

Nicole Boegman ( Nicole Jane Boegman, first marriage Staines, second marriage Boegman-Stewart ; born March 5, 1967 in Sydney ) is a former Australian long jumper .

In 1985 she was fifth at the World Indoor Games in Paris . At the Commonwealth Games in Edinburgh in 1986 and at the World Athletics Championships in Rome in 1987 , she was eighth, at the 1988 Olympic Games in Seoul fifth and at the 1989 World Athletics Cup third.

In 1991 she was sixth at the World Indoor Championships in Seville and was eliminated in the first round at the World Championships in Tokyo . At the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona, ​​she failed to qualify as a valid attempt.

A seventh place at the 1993 World Cup in Stuttgart was followed by a victory at the Commonwealth Games in Victoria in 1994 . She was briefly married to the English long-distance runner Gary Staines . After her active career, she married the triple jumper Alex Stewart.
