Nieder-Kinzig is a district of Bad König in the Odenwald district in southern Hesse .

geography

The place is in the Odenwald in the Kinziger valley , a left side valley of the Mümling . State road 3318 runs through the village .

history

The place was first mentioned in a document in 1408. The place name at that time was Nieder-Kinczich , later the place was called Nyder-Kintzig . Nieder-Kinzig belonged to the Breuberg estate until 1806 .

On October 1, 1971, Nieder-Kinzig was incorporated into the municipality (from October 10, 1980 city) Bad König as part of the regional reform in Hesse .
