Fürstengrund is a district of Bad König in the Odenwaldkreis in Hesse .

The place is in the Odenwald in a side valley of the Mümling . The county road 96 ends in the village .

history

Archaeological finds suggest that the area was settled by the Romans. The first documentary mention dates from the year 1032. The place name changed over the years from Fürstengrunt and Furstegrund to Pforstengrund and ultimately to today's name. In 1806 the place came with the county of Erbach to Hessen. On October 1, 1971, Fürstengrund was incorporated into the municipality (from October 10, 1980 city) Bad König.
