Night Train is an American mystery thriller from 2009. The main roles are played by Danny Glover , Leelee Sobieski and Steve Zahn . Matthias Schweighöfer can be seen in a supporting role .

A mysterious stranger boards conductor Miles' night train. A little later the man is dead. Miles and the passengers Chloe and Pete find a wooden box in the luggage of the dead passenger, in which each of the three involved believes to see valuable gems. It is agreed to throw the body of the passenger who has just boarded the train and to divide the contents of the wooden box. Marked by mutual mistrust, the three implement their plan. When another passenger got on at the next train station and looked for the deceased and the wooden box, the situation got out of hand.

The direct-to-DVD production was released on July 7, 2009 in the United States and December 3, 2010 in Germany on DVD and Blu-Ray. The film had its free TV premiere in Germany on February 14, 2012 on Tele 5 .
