Nikola Nikolow ( Bulgarian: Никола Николов ; born May 27, 1993 ) is a Bulgarian ice hockey goalkeeper who has been under contract with SK Irbis-Skate in the Bulgarian ice hockey league since 2015 .

Career

Nikola Nikolow began his career as a hockey player at HK Slawia Sofia , with whom he won the Bulgarian national championship title in 2010, 2011 and 2012, as well as the cup competition in 200 and 2011 . In 2013 he moved to HK CSKA Sofia , with whom he won the championship and the cup again in 2014. He has been playing at SK Irbis-Skate since 2015 , with which he won further championship titles in 2016 and 2016.

International

For Bulgaria Nikolov participated in the U18 World Championships Division III in 2010 and 2011 when he was voted the best goalkeeper of the tournament, and the U20 World Championships Division III in 2010 , 2011 , 2012 and 2013 , when he moved to the Chinese Xia Shengrong the second lowest goals against goals per game and after this and the New Zealander Aston Brookes had the third best catch quota of the tournament.

In the adult area, Nikolow played for Bulgaria at the World Championships of Division II in 2012 , when he achieved the second-best catch quota and the second-lowest goals against goals of the tournament after the Belgian Björn Steijlen , in 2013 and 2015 as well as Division III in 2017 . He also represented his colors in the Olympic qualification for the Winter Games in Pyeongchang 2018 .
