Nino Baragli

Giovanni Baragli (born October 1, 1925 in Rome ; † May 29, 2013 there ) was an Italian film editor .

Life

Baragli has been working as an editor since 1949 and has worked in this role on more than 200 films. He is usually featured in his films with his diminutive Nino . He gained notoriety in particular through his collaboration with the Italian director Sergio Leone , for whose films Two Glorious Scoundrels , Play Me a Song of Death , Death Melody and Once Upon a Time in America he edited .

In addition, Baragli worked for a long time with the Italian director Federico Fellini and was responsible for editing almost all of Pier Paolo Pasolini's films .

For his work, Nino Baragli was awarded two David di Donatellos for the best cut in Mediterraneo and Turnè and a special prize at the award of the Nastro d'Argento of the SNGCI for his complete work.
