Datsun truck

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Datsun Truck is a pickup truck introduced in the 1930s that Datsun has offered worldwide over the generations.

After the parent company Nissan gave up the Datsun brand , the last D21 model was offered as a Nissan pick-up in Europe from 1986 , while in North America it became the Nissan D21 truck instead of Datsun. In the home market of Japan , the D22 generation Datsun truck was offered until 2002, making it the last officially produced and offered model by Datsun.

The pick-up was originally based on the passenger cars offered by Datsun and became a market success in numerous model generations. Businesses in particular were enthusiastic buyers of the pick-up. It wasn't until the early 1980s that the model also developed into a recreational vehicle. These further developments such as the Nissan Terrano , which is based on the D21, were no longer offered as Datsun, since the Datsun brand disappeared from all export markets with the exception of the pick-up in the mid-1980s.
