Norbert & die Feiglinge was a German student band from Hamburg from 1988 to 1999 .
Career
The content of their songs ranged from parodies of society and special groups to black humor and critical texts about individual groups of people, with some rather silly passages making up the songs of this band. Another characteristic was the fact that many of the songs were related to the present, the content of which was already outdated a short time later ( Sympathy with Berti Vogts , Bum Bum Boris with the melody of Caravan of Love by The Housemartins , Uwe Barschel lives with the melody of California Dreamin ' by The Mamas and the Papas and Verdammt Hans-Dietrich with the melody of Verdammt, Ich liebe 'Dich by Matthias Reim ).
Well-known melodies were often given new German-language texts, for example Lady in Black by Uriah Heep as marzipan , Joe Dassin's Les Champs Elysee as cosmetic surgery or ABBA 's Dancing Queen as onion meat .
Her best-known songs include Bayern has lost and Manta , which used the cliché of Opel Manta lovers , from which numerous Manta jokes and two movies have emerged.
Members of the band were u. a. Norbert Bohnsack ( vocals , 1988–1999) & die Feiglinge : Peter Bohl (vocals, double bass , 1988–1993), Frederik Timm (vocals, saxophone , guitar , percussions , 1988–1999), “Hummi” Dirk Hachmann (vocals, trumpet , 1989–1995), Ede Schönleber (vocals, 1995) and Sebastian Jensen (double bass, 1995–1999).
Frederik Timm is now a solo artist and a member of the Monsters of Liedermaching . Norbert Bohnsack belongs to the Celle school . For the February 2015 published The Super bob album of Spongebob Squarepants he wrote the German lyrics.
