At the Nordic World Ski Championships in 1927 in Cortina d'Ampezzo in Italy , a ski jumping competition was held.

The jumping from the Franchetti-Schanze (K-50) took place on Sunday, February 6th, 1927 in front of numerous spectators. 36 ski jumpers were able to classify themselves in the competition.

Due to the absence of the Norwegians and Finns , the Swedes advanced to the top spots as favorites. Tore Edman was crowned world champion , his compatriot Bertil Carlsson came third. Second place went to German Bohemian Willi Dick, a representative of Central Europe .
