Nuno da Cunha e Ataíde (born December 8, 1664 in Lisbon , † December 3 or 15 , 1750 ibid) was a Portuguese clergyman and cardinal of the Roman Church .

Early years

Nuno da Cunha e Ataíde was born as the youngest of five children of Luis da Cunha e Ataíde, 7th lord of Povolide , and his wife Guiomar de Lancastre. He studied at the University of Coimbra , where he obtained the magister artium and a licentiate in canon law .

Church career

After his ordination he was canon in Coimbra and Lisbon.
