history
The village, first mentioned in writing in 1412, was created due to the brine springs occurring here , which were used by the residents of the village for salt production .
Until 1772 the village was in the Ruthenian Voivodeship of the aristocratic republic of Poland-Lithuania and then until 1918 it became part of the Austrian crown land of Galicia . Between 1918 and 1939 the village belonged to the Second Polish Republic and after the Soviet occupation of Eastern Poland , the village was located in the Ukrainian SSR within the Soviet Union between September 1939 and summer 1941 . After the German occupation, Nysniy Bereziv was incorporated into the Galicia district, and after it was reconquered by the Red Army in 1944, the village was again part of the Ukrainian SSR.
