With the express consent of the Bishop of Regensburg , Paring Monastery received the church in Oberleierndorf as a gift on February 18, 1291. Until secularization in Bavaria in 1803, the monastery looked after the parish of Oberleierndorf. In the year of conscription in 1752, Oberleierndorf consisted of 29 properties.

The municipality of Oberleierndorf, founded in 1818 with the Bavarian municipal edict, with the towns of Oberleierndorf, Böhmhartsberg, Neuhaus and Viehhausen belonged to the district court of Rottenburg an der Laaber , since 1862 to the district office of Rottenburg and since 1939 to the district of Rottenburg an der Laaber . With the construction of the Eggmühl – Langquaid railway line , Oberleierndorf received a railway connection in 1903. As early as 1963, a chronicler reported that the Oberleierndorf stop had long since been closed. On July 1, 1972, the municipality of Oberleierndorf was incorporated into the Langquaid market as part of the regional reform in Bavaria .

Attractions

  • Former parish church of St. Stephan. The choir tower from the 13th / 14th centuries Century with late Gothic sacristy was baroque around 1740. It has a stucco decoration from this time with finely entwined leaves and shells. On the altars from the mid-18th century there are wooden figures, e.g. B. Saint Stephen in the high altar.
