Oberstüter is a district of Hattingen in the Ennepe-Ruhr district in North Rhine-Westphalia . It is located several km south of the old town of Hattingen, east of the Heierbergsbach (Wodantal) in the Hattinger hill country. The place has about 250 inhabitants.

The municipality of Oberstüter came to the city of Hattingen by law to reorganize the Ennepe-Ruhr district on January 1, 1970.

description

The former employers of the rural village included the Niederheide outer mine of the Alte Haase colliery and the Petrus Segen colliery further west . The club life includes the football club SC Oberstüter founded in 1954 with its place "Bergeshöhe" on the Stöckerstraße and the now disbanded men's choir Eintracht Oberstüter from 1880. There is still a fire station of the former fire brigade of the volunteer fire brigade and the community center. At the Protestant cemetery there is a war cemetery with seven dead from World War II , five of them German and two from the former Soviet Union.
