Bredenscheid-Stüter is a district of Hattingen in the Ennepe-Ruhr district in North Rhine-Westphalia . The village is located 4 km south of the old town of Hattingen on the Paasbach . The Wodantal and the Heierbergsbach run further to the west . The railway line and the station are closed.
The Sprockhöveler Bach with the nature reserve Unteres Sprockhöveler Bachtal flows north .
Mining was carried out in the 18th century, for example in the Jalousie colliery .
The central landfill Hattingen-Bredenscheid was operated in Bredenscheid . It was shut down in 2002. Since 2014, more material has been applied to seal the landfill.
history
The municipality of Bredenscheid-Stüter was created on April 1, 1926 through the merger of the municipalities of Bredenscheid and Niederstüter . Due to the law on the reorganization of the Ennepe-Ruhr district , Bredenscheid-Stüter came to the city of Hattingen for the most part on January 1, 1970. Part of Niederstüter came to the city of Sprockhövel .
