Oedingermühle is a district of Lennestadt in the Olpe district and is located directly on the B55 in the area of the junction of the country road leading to Fretter . Neighboring places are Oberelspe and Oedingen .

The mill was owned by the Rump, Lintelo and Kettler families from Haus Valbert . It was sub-leased or operated by the owners themselves.

A coherent documentation of the mill history is not available. However, some documents suggest a checkered history.

In 1475, Hans Hüser and Hynrick Henselyn (church leaders of the church in Oedingen in the village) stated that Johan Rump zu Ostwig and his wife Anna had sold half of the meadow by the mill ("dey nyderste Dyk") to the church.

In 1486 Diderich Rump von der Wenne and his brother Hermann sold a pension from the mill in Oedingen to a Johann to Berghusen.

In 1553 there was an open dispute between Friedrich von Wilnsdorf called Kolve and his cousin Hermann Rump zur Wenne over the legal ownership of the mill. Finally, the mill was awarded to Rump by the princely commissioners, who, however, had to pay the Kolve a grain pension to compensate. The Wilnsdorf family later went bankrupt, and part of their property went to the Rumps.

In 1672 the widow of Christian von Lindtloe undertook to continue to repay her son's debts to the church in Oedingen. The Oedinger mill was used as a deposit. The certificate bears a note from Pastor Ritter: "The pastors have always drawn interest".

On May 11, 1873, Freiherr von Ketteler sold his grinding mill in Oedingen and a number of lands to Thomas Sternberg. The last miller and heir to the court, Alfred Sternberg, died in World War II .

At the end of June 2018, 31 people lived in the area of the former mill. A number of commercial companies have settled there, including in the areas of painting technology, dispensing systems, metal construction and woodworking.
