Ole Käuper (born January 9, 1997 in Bremen ) is a German soccer player who is under contract with Werder Bremen .

Career

In the club

Ole Käuper comes from a soccer family, his father and grandfather were already rooted in north German soccer. He came to Werder Bremen at the age of eight via OT Bremen and ATSV Sebaldsbrück, and he always excelled in their youth teams through good performances. For the 2015/16 season , the midfielder was added to the squad of the U-23 team. On October 23, 2015 (14th match day) Käuper made his third division debut when he was in the starting line-up in the 4-0 home win over FC Erzgebirge Aue and was substituted for Angelos Argyris in the 77th minute . On September 21, 2017, the association announced that it had converted the prospective contract, which ran until 2020, into a long-term professional contract.

On December 13, 2017 Käuper made his debut in the Bundesliga under Florian Kohfeldt when he was in the starting line-up in the 1-0 defeat by Bayer 04 Leverkusen . During the winter break, Käuper finally moved up into the first team's squad. At the end of February 2018 he had an operation on the tarsal area of ​​his right foot and was not used until the end of the season.

After Käuper only played once in the DFB Cup and three times for the second team in the fourth-class Regionalliga Nord in the first half of the 2018/19 season - partly due to injury - he switched to the second division FC on loan for a year and a half at the beginning of January 2019 Erzgebirge Aue . Käuper made four second division appearances under coach Daniel Meyer (three in the starting line-up). In mid-April 2019, he was removed from the squad and released for disciplinary reasons .

For the 2019/20 season , Käuper was awarded to third division club FC Carl Zeiss Jena . End of September 2019 for disciplinary reasons, together with his teammates Käuper Marian Sarr and Kilian Pagliuca , for the time being until the winter break in the league team added. At the beginning of October, the return to the professional squad took place under the new head coach Rico Schmitt . Käuper made a total of 22 third division appearances (17 times from the start), in which he scored 3 goals. FC Carl Zeiss Jena was relegated to the Regionalliga Nordost at the end of the season , whereupon he left the club.

For the season 2020/21 returned Käuper to Werder Bremen and became integrated into the squad the second team.

In the national team

Since the U15, Käuper was used in the youth national teams of the DFB . With the U17 national team he took part in the U17 European Championship in 2014 . In March 2017, he played a game in the U20 team .
