Oleg Wiktorowitsch Kisseljow ( Russian Олег Викторович Киселёв , born January 11, 1967 in Yaroslavl ) is a Russian handball coach and former handball player , who was mostly used on the back center and left back.
Career
The 1.99 m tall and 105 kg heavy right-hander began his career in 1984 at Dinamo Astrachan , with whom he became Soviet champion in 1990 and runner-up in 1989 and 1991. In the IHF Cup 1990/91 he reached the semi-finals. In 1992 he moved to the Spanish league ASOBAL to BM Granollers , with whom he won the Copa ASOBAL in 1994 . He then signed with Bidasoa Irún . There he won the EHF Champions League in 1994/95 and was in the final again the following year. In 1995/96 he won the Supercopa Asobal and the Spanish Royal Cup . He then went to CB Cantabria Santander , with whom he won another Copa ASOBAL in his only season. From 1997 to the end of his career in 2004, he ran for Portland San Antonio . With the Pamplona team, he won the 1999 King's Cup, the 1999/2000 European Cup Winners' Cup, the 1999/2000 Club European Championship and the 2001 Champions League.
With the Soviet national team Oleg Kisseljow was runner-up at the 1990 World Cup. In the same year he won the Goodwill Games . With the United Team he was Olympic champion at the 1992 Olympic Games . For the Olympic victory he received the award of Honored Master of Sports of the USSR (Заслуженный мастер спорта СССР). With the Russian national team he won the title at the 1993 World Cup . He was equally successful at the 1996 European Championships with a gold medal, and in 1994 he won silver. At the 1996 Olympics , he was fifth. In total, he played at least 130 international matches .
In the 2007/08 season Kisseljow coached the Spanish second division team BM Lagunak.
