Sarja Kaspija Astrachan ( Russian Заря Каспия Астрахань ) is a handball club from the city of Astrakhan on the Caspian Sea in Russia . The club was founded in 1978 as "Zarya" (Заря) and rose in 1985 as "Dinamo" (Динамо) in the highest Soviet league. From 1997 the association was named after the main sponsor " Lukoil -Dinamo" (ЛУКОЙЛ – Динамо) and since 2007 has had the current name, which means dawn of the Caspian Sea .
