A total of 56 handball club teams from all over Europe took part in the 26th edition of the 2006/07 EHF Cup , which had qualified for the competition in their home countries in the previous season. The cup games began on September 1, 2006, the second round final took place on April 29, 2007. The winner of the EHF Cup was SC Magdeburg . The defending champion of the EHF Cup was TBV Lemgo .

The hosts from Spain quickly took the lead, but Magdeburg could not be shaken off for the entire season. After Aragon's narrow half-time lead, the game went back and forth. Building on the strong Abati and Bielecki, who both scored nine goals, SC Magdeburg was able to equalize in the final minute.

The 2002 Champions League winner celebrated the ninth international title in the club's history. Only in the third minute did Kretzschmar open the scoring with a backhand throw, but then only the Spanish guest played.
