EHF Cup 2005/06

At the EHF Cup 2005/06 56 took Handball part -Vereinsmannschaften, who had qualified in the previous season in their home leagues for the competition. It was the 25th edition of the EHF Cup or the IHF Cup. The defending champion was TUSEM Essen . The cup games began on September 3, 2005, the second final took place on April 30, 2006. In the final, TBV Lemgo prevailed against Frisch Auf Göppingen .

mode

In round 1, 16 lower-rated clubs started the competition. In round 2 there were 17 more teams who had also qualified in their home leagues in the previous season, and the 7 losers from the qualification from the EHF Champions League 2005/06 . In round 3, another 16 higher-rated teams joined. All rounds including the final were carried out in a knockout system with a return leg.
