EHF Cup 2004/05

At the EHF Cup 2004/05 51 took Handball part -Vereinsmannschaften, who had qualified in the previous season in their home leagues for the competition. It was the 24th edition of the EHF Cup or the IHF Cup. The defending champion was THW Kiel . The cup games began on October 8, 2004, the second final took place on May 7, 2005. In the final, TUSEM Essen was just able to prevail against SC Magdeburg .

The competition started with 19 games in round 2. The 33 clubs that had qualified in their home leagues in the previous season included the 5 losers in qualifying for the EHF Champions League 2004/05 . In round 3, which corresponded to a sixteenth-finals, another 13 higher rated teams got on. All rounds including the final were carried out in a knockout system with a return leg.
