The men's individual time trial at the 1920 Olympic Games in Antwerp took place on August 13, 1920.
A total of 175 kilometers had to be covered. The athletes drove from the Merksem district towards the center of Antwerp every four minutes . We continued east via the municipality of Turnhout and after 96 kilometers we reached Mol . Now the course turned back to the southwest and after 135 kilometers Heist-op-den-Berg and the city of Liège followed . The drivers finally reached the finish three kilometers from the Vélodrome in Antwerp.
The Swede Harry Stenqvist won ahead of the South African Henry Kaltenbrunn and thus secured the Olympic victory. Bronze went to the French Fernand Canteloube . At the finish line, Kaltenbrunn was initially declared the winner by Canteloube and Stenqvist. Then, however, the waiting times at various level crossings were offset and thus the victory of the Swedish cyclist resulted.
