One is the Bee Gees' 18th studio album . It was released in April 1989 by Warner Bros.

history

After the comeback with ESP and the single You Win Again , the group went into the studio for the successor in spring 1988. One was recorded in Miami Beach and produced by the Gibb brothers with Brian Tench . It achieved slightly greater success in the US than its predecessor, but sales have declined elsewhere. The album was number 4 in Germany and number 68 in the USA.

criticism

On the Allmusic.com website , the reviewer gave 2.5 out of 5 stars. He praised catchy melodies, the singing put emotion over expressiveness. The album is weightless, but polished.
