2 Years On is the sixth international music album of the Bee Gees and the first after the temporary dissolution of the band.

production

Mainly commercial or economic reasons moved the Gibb brothers to reunite in August 1970 and reactivate the Bee Gees. The reunion album was due to be released before Christmas, so there was little time to record a full album. The single "Lonely Days" / "Man for All Seasons" and "Back Home" were jointly created in August, followed by the Barry Gibb compositions "Every Second, Every Minute" and "The First Mistake I Made" in September . and in October “Tell My Why” and “Portrait of Louise”, as well as the Robin Gibb composition “Alone Again”. The remaining songs were put together from recordings that were made in early summer without Barry Gibbs and arranged by Gerry Shury. The Bee Gees' new drummer was Geoff Bridgford.

All songs on the album were composed in 1970.

The album, the first of the Bee Gees, which was released both as a record and as a MusiCassette , did not make it into the charts in Germany. The single "Lonely Days" at number 24.
