One in a Million is a song by the German dance project RIO It was released on July 4, 2014 as a single and download . As the voice for this song, they got the US singer U-Jean , who has already sung many other tracks of the dance project, into the studio. The title was first presented on Kontor Top of the Clubs Vol. 63 . It contains a style similar to the previous single , with this track using a big room drop rather than a progressive house drop like Komodo (Hard Nights) .
Music video
The official music video was uploaded on June 23, 2014 from the official YouTube channel of the record label Kontor Records. It is a kind of introduction to the music video for Party Shaker . However, this video shows two other young women instead of Victoria Kern . These too go from a hotel in Miami towards the beach. Different locations such as the hotel's pool and a beach shower are highlighted. U-Jean can also be seen in the video. Like Nicco, he is shown at Party Shaker , on some buttons and on women's sweaters. It is also shown in a room in which a lot of visual effects have been used. All the screens showing the various locations of the music video can be seen on the wall. Furthermore, a kind of sound track is shown which shows the appropriate course of the song. The globe is displayed shortly before the drop is inserted. Similar to Google Earth , a small picture of the earth is zoomed to a location that is described with the word "Found", which refers to the lyrics.

The track was written and composed by Yanou , Manian , Andres Ballinas and Frederik Alm. After working with Yanou, Alm first worked as a songwriter on a RIO song. The song was produced by Yanou and Manian and was released through their own label Zooland Records and the dance label Kontor Records . The piece was sung by U-Jean and contains synthesizer elements from Manian and Yanou. In contrast to all previously published songs, this track is an own composition.

criticism
The song was very well received by the audience in advance. Although the song was compared to songs by various representatives of the typical electro house style, it was still considered a summer hit.
An example of this is a review by critic Vitus Benson from the Dance-Charts website . He wrote:
“As with their last single 'Komodo (Hard Nights)', 'One in a Million' also has an electro house drop, now often known as EDM or Big-Room House. Unlike the last single, however, I like the integration of the drop much better, somehow all elements are well known and yet a nice song comes out. It will show to what extent the German mainstream can still go for hard drops, the trend at the moment is towards deep house, but 'One in a Million' is a well-rounded production which definitely has a chance on the charts and the big-room floors of the nation to conquer. […] Although all elements of 'One in a Million' are already known, the title doesn't seem like just an old project has been opened, rather it is a typical RIO song and as such has every chance of becoming a hit To be summer. "
Commercial win
Two weeks before the official release, One in a Million was made available for download by Kontor Records on iTunes. After just one day, the song was in the top 30 of many European countries. Due to the numerous downloads, the tack also reached the Austrian singles charts before its official release. There the song got into place 62. In Switzerland, the duo also reached number 62 in the first week. In the German single charts, the song rose to number 51. After dropping out of the charts in Switzerland after a week, it was able to stay in the top 100 for three weeks in Germany and four more weeks in Austria.
