Orlando Octacílio Dotti OFMCap (born June 22, 1930 in Antonio Prado , Brazil ) is a Roman Catholic clergyman and former Bishop of Vacaria .

Life

Orlando Octacílio Dotti joined the religious order of the Capuchins and was ordained a priest on April 8, 1956 .

Pope Paul VI appointed him on March 12, 1969 as the first bishop of the newly established diocese of Caçador . The Archbishop of São Luís do Maranhão , Paulo Eduardo Andrade Ponte , donated him episcopal ordination on May 25 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Rino Carlesi MCCJ , Bishop of Balsas , and Miguel Fenelon Câmara Filho , Archbishop of Teresina .

On April 1, 1976, he was appointed Bishop of Barra . Pope John Paul II appointed him Coadjutor Bishop of Vacaria on May 30, 1983 . After Henrique Gelain's retirement , he succeeded him on February 5, 1986 as Bishop of Vacaria. He resigned from his office on November 12, 2003.
